The Lancaster Grand had a website that was over ten years old and lacked the functionality and usability expected by their customers. They were in the process of finalising the design of a new foyer for the theatre and preparing to raise the funds needed to build it. They decided they needed a new website that was much easier to use (for both themselves and their customers) in order to support show bookings and their fund raising drive.
A new website design concepts was produced together with a design partner and this was developed into a full website.
A significant requirement for the project was to integrate the show listings with a third party ticket office solution (offered by a software company that serves theatres). Every day the website synchronises with the ticketing office software in order to keep show listings up to date.
